JOHN MCCAIN: "I know that the economy is in some difficulty now. We're gonna have to adjust to that economy. I still believe the fundamental principles and foundation of our economy is strong. We're going to probably have to take some actions, but first of all, let's make the tax cuts permanent, let's cut the wasteful and unnecessary spending before we go to the American people and say we're going to need to spend more of your billions of dollars and lay another greater debt on future generations of Americans."
