JOHN MCCAIN: "So, we're in some, we're in some, uhh, ehh, tough times economically my friends but the underpinnings of our economy are strong. Nothing is inevitable. If we restrain spending, cut interest rates, keep taxes low, give, provide the right incentives for businesses to invest and to hire and other incentives that are necessary. This economy can come back strong because the fundamentals of it are strong. So, umm, let's see, let's get Congress to pass this legislation as quickly as possible, lets continue to reduce interest rates if necessary, and let's stop this out of control spending which is caused us to mortgage our children and our grandchildren's future."
