During SEIU's 2004 convention, members adopted a global plan for workers. Since then, by coordinating with labor unions in other countries, we've helped 18,000 more U.S. workers organize here and 60,000 workers in other countries who work in the same industries that we do.
On Saturday evening, union leaders from seven countries talked about how to improve workers' lives in a global economy, as corporations move from country to country, chasing lower wages and driving down standards for workers.
