No, I’m not joking. Ainsley Earhardt on FOX actually said this when asked by FOX & Friends co-host Brian Kilmeade about why women on FOX always wear skirts and never pants/pantsuits. To which Earhardt replied, "Here at Fox, we like to be feminine. So we don't wear the pants." I wonder if that comment was meant literally as well as figuratively since FOX seems to have a very strict “eye candy only” policy when it comes to hiring women to be on air.
It’s another good example of the conservative time warp that FOX and its viewers live in — a world where women know their place and women who wear skirts are lesbians, unladylike, or simply “uppity”. Women are window dressing who make babies, keep the house tidy, and keep up their appearance lest they embarrass their hardworking husbands.
Women on FOX know how it works. They wear skirts, like they should. Very, very, very, short ones.
