Interview with Cynthia Mckinney
09:42
Former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney is *still* running for President of the United States under the Green Party Ballot.
www.gp.org

She is a relentlessly strong patriot who constantly strives for a government that is transparent and held accountable. She openly supports the 9/11 Truth Movement and a new (or real) investigation into 9/11 and whose character is of unlimited courage seeking truth and justice. She was the only member of Congress (to my knowledge) to take on Donald Rumsfeld and Gen. Richard Myers about the wargames of 9/11 and the 2.3 Trillion Dollar Announced Lost on September 10, 2001:

PUBLIC ACCESS Producer Terry Morrone and I drove into New York City to see Green Party presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney. Former Congressperson McKinney was speaking as part of a panel discussing the killing of Malcolm X. The event was held on the Anniversary of Malcolm X's assassination. I learned a lot of new things about Malcolm X and the questions surrounding his death. Cynthia McKinney raised good questions not just about the Malcolm X situation, but about how our government handles dissent, and handles information. Cynthia McKinney touched on 9-11, and how there are unanswered questions related to that catastrophe.

The panel included people who were very close to Malcolm X, one person who was at the Audubon Ballroom the day he was killed. It was very touching to hear about Malcolm X as a person who had worries about being assassinated, but also great hopes for the future, and plans to escape the country to avoid assassination. After the panel discussion, Terry Morrone and I were privileged to get a 10 minute interview with Cynthia McKinney (squeezed in before a professional video team did their interview.) Terry took video of the main event and our interview to air on his Public Access shows. Hope to get copies from him and process them in the next few days.

Seen at the event: Sander Hicks of Vox Pop "books, coffee and democracy" shop; several NYC Green Party members, including Dorothy W-P; Glen Ford of the Black Agenda Report; and several staff members from Cynthia's 2004 campaign and her current campaign.

The event was organized by the Malcolm X & Dr. Betty Shabazz Memorial and Educational Center (located in the Audubon Ballroom) and the Coalition on Political Assassinations. The event was co-sponsored by Vox Pop, who provided the coffee. Broadcast on Sirius Satellite Radio.

Speakers: Former Congressperson Cynthia McKinney; Baba Zak Kondo, who wrote the book "Unraveling the Assassination of Malcolm X,"; A. Peter Bailey, a charter member of the Organization of Afro American Unity; James Small, a professor at City University of New York; John Judge of the Coalition on Political Assassinations; Jared Ball, a professor at Morgan State University.

From an AP story: "McKinney said she has worked to have federal files released to see what role the FBI's COINTELPRO, or Counter Intelligence Program, played in the deaths of Malcolm X and Rev. Martin Luther King.
